Shellebrity Shell Tours

A sheller walking an exposed sandbar at low tide in the Ten Thousand Islands near Marco Island

A private guided shelling adventure with Mollusk Meg: your boat, your crew, your morning of buried treasure.

We head out from Marco Island by boat through the mangrove maze of the Ten Thousand Islands to remote sandbars chosen by tide, weather and wherever the Gulf has been leaving its treasures. Golden olives, tulips, horse conchs, alphabet cones, sand dollars, and if the shell gods are smiling, the bucket-list junonia. Dolphins, manatees, rays and sea turtles make regular cameos.

The best low tides this season

Ultra-low morning tides uncover sandbars and tidal flats that sit underwater the rest of the month. These are the mornings we aim for, and there are only a handful each month.

Oct 27–28morning lows
Nov 24–27Thanksgiving week
Dec 23–26lowest tides of the year

Predicted tides from NOAA (Caxambas Pass, Marco Island). Low-tide mornings leave the dock around 6:30–7:00 am. See every date and time.

Shellers love Meg

"Meg is truly wonderful: kind, thoughtful, incredibly knowledgeable, and so much fun. She knew exactly where to take us to find some of the coolest and most beautiful shells… This was so much more than just a shelling tour."Dana Hatton, Shellebrity Shell Tours guest
